The UX/UI Designer is responsible for understanding the needs of the user and business, translating them into wireframes, design, and digital product prototypes.

You are also an original thinker, an excellent design communicator and are able to effectively collaborate with clients at all levels.
We expect you to work within a high-performing UX and UI design team, both in our Oakland office and across our several US offices. You’ll work closely with a team of strategists, researchers, writers, and developers. Up to 25% travel is required.
Solve problems through design. You utilize design thinking, user research and business strategy to identify unmet needs or untapped opportunities—and convert them into strategic visions for clients and internal teams.
Communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models, and screen designs to developers, business analysts, and other team members working on the product.
Create user journey maps to articulate the interactions that a user has, across communication channels.
Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences.
Support product vision by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for digital products.
Design and deliver experiences optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.
Make strategic design decisions related to existing and new functionality.
Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate designs.
Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications.
Incorporate a visual or brand identity into the finished product.
You’ll have a minimum of two-three years of relevant industry work. Your portfolio must demonstrate excellence in:
Designing and shipping successful digital products and services
Understanding of modern user research strategies and techniques
Strong design strategy acumen and problem-solving ability amidst complex challenges
Acumen in user experience and interaction design
Successfully collaborating with the client and internal distributed teams to ensure designs meet business and user needs and can be built and maintained
Communicating design strategies and choices
Be willing to help teammates, share knowledge with them, and learn from them
Be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism.
Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge in the industry’s latest trends and technologies.
